Job Description
Chemical handlers in the Woburn plant will be responsible for managing all aspects of chemical, gas cylinder, and production material supply within the Woburn Site.
Activities include:
Inventory control and tracking; waste mitigation and management of expiration dates of chemicals; timely delivery of materials to designated locations; insuring quality and quantity and distribution of production supplies; management of chemical bottle cleans.
Responsibilities
Chemical handlers are the first line of defense with respect to Safety Compliance.
Each Chemical Handler is expected to champion all Skyworks safety procedures both in the Fabs, as well as all supporting areas.
All violations and potential violations or issues must be resolved immediately and/or escalated to the appropriate management level including EH&S.
Chemical Handlers are responsible
Completing all safety classes related to chemical handlers.
Following all safety regulations for chemical and gas handling and storage.
Capable of successfully working/integrating into a team oriented, dynamic environment.
Communicate effectively with coworkers and other shifts via passdowns, e-mail, and telephone to ensure critical information flows smoothly to those who need it.
Multiple daily checks of Fab chemical storage areas.
Verify proper storage is in place.
Verify adequate supply of chemicals
Requirements:
AS preferred.
Must be able to lift 30lbs with ease.
Previous chemical experience
Additional requirements
Ownership of Fab, GaAs Scribe and MBE gowning supplies.
Replenish supplies as needed.
Verify adequate stock of clean room supplies at minimum, beginning, middle and end of each daily shift.
Ownership of Tyvek recycling program.
Operation of the bottle washing station.
Removal of bottles from the empty solvent storage area.
Ordering and stocking office supplies for the Fab as needed.
Standardize parts list if possible.
Maintain a clean working area in the chemical stock room, clean room supply stock room, shared office, bottle wash room.
This includes daily wipe down of chemical transport carts clean as well as work areas.
Support Fab activities on other shifts by working overtime as required.
