Purpose of Position:
Direct overall plant operations and staff functions in order to achieve customer, business, and corporate objectives regarding cost, quality, service, and growth while meeting all safety, health, and environmental requirements. Insure the successful deployment of the Manufacturing and Supply Chain Strategies.
Major
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement operating plans that meet key performance objectives.
Assure the success of manufacturing and engineering programs while considering cost, resources, and technical risk.
Assure growth in talent and capability of the plant staff and total organization.
Build effective relationships within the business, corporate leadership, and staff groups, and with key customers and suppliers where required.
Actively participate with division and business staffs in development of strategies supporting manufacturing and commercial objectives.
Build a sustainable culture characteristic of company values and continuous improvement in support of the business.
Champion and sponsor the innovation process for new product and process development.
Demonstrate positive corporate citizenship in the local community.
Be forward thinking in the development of strategies and plans that insure the sustainability of plant operations.
Champion and sponsor key corporate and division initiatives.
Actively participate as the Manufacturing leader on the Advanced Cells Business Team

Essential knowledge, skills and behaviors:
B.S. degree.
Strong leadership experience
Goal driven, track record of delivering on key objectives.
Progressive responsibilities in Manufacturing, R&D, Quality, Engineering roles.
Relevant biological business / industry experience.
Understanding of business financial systems and reporting.
Experience in leading departments or organizations in meeting continuous improvement goals, step change performance improvements, innovation, expanding technical capability, work redesign or other change efforts.
Experience building and managing a cohesive staff and establishing collaborative relationships across functional areas.
Experience as a Production/Operations Manager
Demonstrated track record of growing and placing talent.
Goal driven, track record of delivering on key objectives.
Desired:
M.B.A. or equivalent business degree.
Experience in multiple businesses, divisions, technologies.
Experience in staff or project roles.
Manufacturing and/or engineering experiences throughout the product life cycle (growth and/or decline, new product introductions, turnaround situation, etc.).
Experience in leading or being a member of projects and teams. Experience using personal influence to accomplish objectives.
Experience with global manufacturing and business through work, project experience, or expatriate assignment.
Experience to adapt to a variety of employee relations environments.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
