Job Description:
As part of the Radiology team, the Radiology Aide:
Assesses waiting room status regularly, liaisons with patients to ensure comfort and wait-time satisfaction.
Serves as a resource person by providing appropriate information and assistance to patients, families and visitors to improve their overall experience in the imaging department(s.
) Greets, transports and/or escorts, educates and identifies patients making the patients feel welcomed and comfortable and fulfilling all safety and quality checks.
Assists the technologists in preparing the patient for an exam, including but not limited to assisting in lifting and moving patients.
Provide ambulatory assistance to patients as necessary.
Has access to and may transport medication to support the department.
Keeps department clean, free of obstacles and stocked in adequate supplies and linen.
Handles various imaging-related documentation including but not limited to labels, requisitions, orders, daily reports, logs, and PACS as required by site.
Performs other administrative functions as needed to ensure the department runs smoothly, efficiently and seamlessly to the patients.

Prior in healthcare, a clerical role and/or other positions with a strong customer service element Other Skills/Knowledge:
